The recommended daily intake of 2 capsules provides the standardized content of 98% polyphenols, 80% catechins and 50% EGCG from green tea extract.
Polyphenols are secondary plant substances that occur in plants as bioactive substances such as colorings (flavonoids, anthocyanins), flavorings and tannins (tannins). They are supposed to protect the plant from predators or to attract insects to pollinate with their color.
But polyphenols also have supporting effects on the human body. Each type of polyphenol acts differently on different areas of the body, and the properties of the polyphenols are enhanced if sufficiently different types of polyphenols are ingested.
